205 45 16
Hey there, I just bought a 2006 Yaris and picked up 16x7 rims with no offset. I am torn on what size tires to get. I am worried that 205 45 16 will leave too much of a gap in the wheel well and if I go 205 50 16 I am worried about rubbing . I don't plan on lowering the car for some time but I still want it too look good. Any thoughts???

Zero offset and rubbing may be synonymous for a Yaris. 35-45 mm offset is the norm.

I am assuming it is zero offset as I am sure it would be stamped on the back...wouldn't it??? Sorry I am very new to this. Is there another way to tell. I bought them used and they came from a civic.

i'm sure there's some offset, it's extremely rare to find rims with no offset. those are like truck wheels or something... |

What is the make/model of the wheels? Post some photos.
The offset is often stamped on the back of the wheel. |

Long exposure + "painting" with a flashlight = what you see in the pic.

If so 205 50 16 or 205 45 16 without dropping. I don't want too much space in the wheel well.

Ok, then you'd want 205/45 16 to keep it as similar to stock as possible. I personally went with 205/40 16, but my transmission has a different speed sensor ratio in so it still reads the same as stock.
With 205/50 16 you'd loose some acceleration because of the larger rotation and your speedo would be reading slower. (good if you need to trade the car in at some point though LOL) |
