I enjoy the sloping roundover bit work on the woofer section. I'd like to take a closer look at the amp section. Looks like fun!

thanks guys. I'll take a couple closeups of the amp for you. It's a JBL Grand Touring amp, been with me a while now.

That material you wrapped the box in, would it be suitable for upholstering the door panel? I was thinking about covering my neoprene upholstery with it...

^ I think you can use Neffy over just about anything, as long as the adhesive is good.

wiring goes underneath, yes.

LED's are not on a switch yet, but they will be. Two strips inside and two underneath. I used these; you can chain them AND cut them:

Amp is elevated on spacers, so the wires could be tucked and the underside LEDs reflect.
Cover is etched plexiglass. I like that amp because the stock cover can easily be removed.

The whole box is removable using the installed handles for racing days.
All wiring is routed through two Speak-On connectors and one power jack.

Fun! Me being a sound guy...my next question is, do you have any more plans for the current setup?

You know what would make this pop even more...using techflex and heat shrink on the wiring. You could do it yourself...

Plans to put the lighting on a switch?

yeah some loom/heat shrink would clean it up even more. And a switch for the lighting.

One thing I did notice is that the rear side speakers are chafed from rubbing on the inside of the panel (that's not there now). Any recommendations for sexy replacements?

To be continued, always, right?

What speakers are you running up front?

What kind and level of audio secks are you looking for?

Suggestion on the techflex, take a look at the "ogre" color. That would go REALLY well with the lighting effects you have.

I'd even stretch to say that it'd look like there was something scary going on under the amp...the green light and them you have these green/black cables coming out from under the glowing amp...you get where I'm going. I'd be willing to bet that you could even get green shrink tubing...

Perhaps even glow in the dark green heat shrink!

Pretty nice, huh? It SO goes with the other green you have going on in the car...I say it's a must for show points!

^ I like.

I have JBL GTO series all around, fronts are split with a tweeter up top and mids in the stock position.

The rears are 6" round two-way I believe. 10" sub.
