Towing Eyelet Cover
Or maybe it's called a tow hook cover, or towing hook plug. Anyway, it's that small, round part, on the front of the car, that covers the tow hook.
I have a 2008 Yaris sedan, in Flint Mica. Anyone know where I could find a replacement cover? My local Toyota dealer can order the part for me, for around $15, but it's not painted. If any of you know of a source of such a part already painted Flint Mica (or something pretty close to that color), I'd really appreciate it. (3 1/2 years old, 60k+ miles, and this is the first part I've had to replace on the car. And it was lost/stolen, so I don't suppose I can really fault Toyota quality control for it. Although you'd think Toyota would make it easier to obtain a replacement part, in the right color, at minimal expense.) -- Michael |

I got mine from toyotapartszone.com. It was already painted and cost about $10.

If you can't find one, you can buy color-matched spray paint at www.autmotivetouchup.com

However, I'm by no means sure that's the part I want, so having it confirmed by someone who - unlike me - knows what he's talking about, would be greatly appreciated. -- Michael |

Just screw the towing eye in and leave it there. People will think you are a farmer/redneck and you can play with their heads.
