Paddle Shifter?
Auto is electronically controlled... perhaps an easy candidate for a paddle shifter?
Not sure how useful it would be, but it would be a fun mod :) |

After test driving the Fit, the idea of paddle shifters became a lot less interesting to me.

So you are saying it gets boring fast?

It's no more exciting or useful than forcing downshifts for passing or turns with an automatic on the floor. You've got more control over when to upshift, but that's not really that big a deal unless you're trying to hold on to a gear for straight-line acceleration. And if you're doing that, you're driving the wrong car.
Just my opinion, obviously. |

Our 325xi has tiptronic, and I wasn't impressed. I had it in tip for 30 seconds before I got bored and threw it back to automatic.
Now if it had an actual manual... oh man. |

You may feel like an F1 driver, but when the car changes gears, it still slurs like a slushbox. This isn't one of those SMG gearboxes.

I personally don't think it would be a fun thing in our cars.

Waste of money IMO.

Yeah, an actual sequential paddle shifter would be nice. Too bad it isn't a instantaneous shift like the racecars are.
