Remove the lower steering column cover and snap a picture of the black connector that plugs into the spiral cable assembly (the black plastic ring behind the steering wheel that allows the connections within the steering wheel to rotate). My bet is that the wires are present for cruise control, so all you will need to do is to add the stalk under the airbag.

No. Just remove the two screws that are exposed by turning the steering wheel to either side and the one down by the tilt lever

The connector of interest is the black one at the top left of this picture. I see by the number of wires that you have steering wheel audio controls. I can't see all of the wires, but the blue one looks like it is in the correct position.

Hi!

I just bought a 2012 Yaris and so far it's great, but it too lacks cruise control (among a few other things, but that's the big one). A google search for how to add it brought me to this forum, so I thought I would see if there are still parts available! I'm not very good with cars and the terminology involved so please forgive me if I ask dumb questions. The basic extent of my skills are I can hold it, or I can go get it! So I'm hoping I can learn a little bit about this too.

The Yaris I have isn't like the ones in the pictures though, it has the gauges in the center like fredansandy described.

If you have parts available still for it, could you let me know?
Thanks!

Your 2011 Sedan is really a 2011 as far as cruise control goes. The sedan did not get the 2012 revision that the liftback did. I just shot you a PM with the info on the parts.

The beige and brown wires in pins 1 and 2 are the cruise control wires, so you are good to go for installing cruise control. If you are interested I sell the stalk with wiring harness and mounting screws for far less than dealer price. Even with shipping to Sweden it would be quite a bit less.

Hi again CTScott
I whant to thank you for helping me with CC install on my car and to let you know that it's working great all the functions are exactly the same as it would have been fitted by toyota dealer. Your kit really saved me some cash. :-) BIG SMILE // Stenis

Control buttons on the steering wheel.

Hello everyone.
I have a Toyota Yaris 2015, 5 door, the European version, with control buttons on the steering wheel.
Does anyone know for what are the wires in the connector (D103 black)
pin 10 - red ?
pin 11 - pink ?
pin 12 - blue ?

I suspect that these pins are of a radio control.

Can somebody confirm this?

roninn

Nothing visible in that picture is switched +12. Below that picture is the connector for the ignition switch and the pink wire on that connector is switched +12.

You should really have posted your questions in a separate thread, as this is not cruise control related, but the 12 volt immobilizer power wire is the pink wire on the black connector at the end of the black plastic section of the ignition switch assembly.

Hello CTScott after about reading the whole lot of posts I wanted to ask you will this work on a 2014 5 door model L Yaris it's has a 1.5L engine on it and it's an automatic drive model.

I'm curious since my dash looks a lot like yours and for long trips CC would be very useful especially when visiting the family across the island :D your input is much appreciated
