All you folks doing this are not running on all four cylinders. As in your missing most of your brain cells. So pull up your pants, turn your hat straight and think about what your doing! Oh...Wait, You cant think, or you never do something so asinine.(IMO).

Sorry if I offended any of you, but I cant wrap my brain around the thought of modifying a rig for looks, while at the same time decreasing safety. And we are driving the lowest cost Toyota made. This car is about MPG and cheap as chips maintenance. I'm all for giving your rig a unique custom look, but stretching tires can lead to a dangerous outcome were if your lucky you just trash your rig. If your not so lucky, you'll kill a friend and go to Jail/Prison for 10~12 on a manslaughter charge.

So you think all the educated folks at all of the tire manufacturers are wrong about what tire size will safely fit a certain size wheel? But some of you were correct when you replied WTF to my post. I can see clearly now, stupid is what stupid does. It will take more than common sense to convince most Stretcher, that it's foolish and dangerous. |

Ok Sir...I ponder over this question and I beg you to answer it...When and how would the tire slip off of the rim with it being a SMALLER size then its actually needed diameter for the rim. If I'm not mistaken due to it being a smalled fitment to a larger area it actually would be more tighter to the rim than a normal fitment. For it to be STRETCHED means to put extra effort into putting on the fitment.
You call them stupid but bottom line, if it were an ACTUAL danger and proven as such then it would obviously be illegal. But if you can give ME the straight facts of where your getting this information from then I wanna see it. Other than that, Your the stupid one to talk highly about something you have no idea where your getting any of your info from... And for the record these guys ain't stupid. HANZO Out. |

I think UberSilver is referring to the tires unbeading, which, yes, can be dangerous.
HOWEVER, UberSilver, are you telling me that you don't speed, you don't look at your phone when you drive, you don't eat/drink when you drive, you don't talk to you passengers when you drive, you don't listen to the radio/music when you drive, etc, etc. All of those can and does contribute to driver distraction, thereby putting you and others at risk for getting into an accident, and possibly "you'll kill a friend and go to Jail/Prison for 10~12 on a manslaughter charge." I say this because you're argument was the fact that running stretched tires is dangerous, as are all of those actions I just listed. |

When I race motorcycles I know I can/will go down at some point. I wear proper PPE as to minimise my injuries, and so does the guy next to me. On the street if one acts unsafe, others may suffer. Thats my point. |

this discussion is useless... it's like discussing religion... you just don't and you respect one another whatever he or she does. If ''we'' want stretched tires, then ''we'' get them. If we want to make the most out of our car and make it one of your own, then we do that!
Most of us want people to say: Oh yeah that's (name)'s car. It becomes your Identity. Some understand... some don't.
