So i am getting 17 inch rims with 205/40/17 how likely am i to rub? as my yaris is lowered as posted in my recent thread. The owner as of now is not sure of the offset but he will check it out

I had a set of 205/40/17 I really didn't like them cause the ride was hard and you fill every bump in the road. I recently got new tires I went with 205/45/17, so much better!
The ride is so much smooter and you don't feel the road the bumps anymore. I do rub just a liitle bit if I'm going to fast on dips, over all I like my new size of tires.

I love those wheels, but I didn't get them because of the weight. 19 kg is over 40 lbs each. Totally insane. To put it in perspective, my wheels and tires combined weigh a little less than 25 lbs for each corner.

i do not notice any rubbing , even with 3-4 ppl in the car..but those rims were on when i bought the car so i have no comparisons. I do find the turning circle isnt as good as my sisters previous model yaris sedan which is on stock wheels.

If where you live has bad roads the ride is rough..actually looking to change to 15's cause the roads in Barbados are not at all low profile friendly..

DAMN mr miles! I like where this is going. Please leave them pics unadulterated.
Since this is a wheel thread, maybe share your wheels/specs with our viewers again?

Well, I just tought OZ focused on strength instead of light weigth. Coz these wheels are rally version.

I've weigthed other brand that heavier than OZ.

There's no way OZs make a wheel that heavy .

Indonesian use KG as the measurement unit, while we use lbs . 1kg =2.2lbs
unless Andro weighted the wheel+tire=19kg or 40lbs....

And the magnesium wheel usually add the strength but not weight ,but if its true, 40 lbs for each wheel minus the tire, then I don't think I'll be getting them for sure .

Maybe true if they're 18s but yeah 19lbs seems more accurate than 19kg

Yes indeed. 19 kg is wheel + tire.
Wheel only is about half the weight.
