Hey guys remember, boost doesn't bend rods. Power and detonation does. I built my roomies xB and with a 3.5psi wastegate spring it is making more power than the stock motor should handle because it has a t3 60 trim coupled with an efficient setup. When I had my Greddy kit I needed to run 15 psi to make the same power.

hoping to use a t3/t4 Hybrid set up, probably going to have to cut on one of Garm's t25 headers to make it work for a t3 flange. so it is up to the tune and set up, not simply the psi being used.

I don't know poop about turbos, as I'm just starting to learn about it.
But, isn't this a well documented thread? Link: http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30813

Detonation...reduce it by using higher octane gas (premium at least)/e85...

With e85 you're talking about redoing the fuel pump to keep up with demand. IIRC you can use C16 with a stock fuel pump because of the weight (?) of the fluid versus e85*.

Garm, your former Yaris's engine was fully built wasn't it? What did you have for compression?

*=I'm not sure on the Yaris's fuel system. On my other car, that's a yes.

Being as cheap as possible usually doesn't lend itself well. If you're going to play around with this stuff, don't get yourself stuck on the side of the road, especially if the car is your DD.

Unless I am totally mistaken the biggest and ppossibly only issue with going with racing fuel over the VP100 level would be possible plugging of your cat would it not?
