DRL relay switch
Looking to add a switch to the power line on the DRL relay for my car. Is this possible or would it mess something up? I go to the drive-in often and have to unplug the relay under the dash. Socicwould like to have a switch on the dash that cuts the power to it effectively turning off the DRL lights. Lemme know if it's as easy as I hope! Thanks

Just add a switch inline with the large blue wire in pin 1 of the DRL.

I believe that you could clip the large blue wire in pin 1 of the DRL connector and feed what every you want with it.

i fed mine to the orange wire for the fog lights, but i did need to add a capacitor in order to get around the pulsed +12v that blue wire gives.

You needed the cap as you are driving the relay, rather than the lights. Bulbs do fine with the pulsed power, but when you feed it through a relay you get flickering.

just ran mine to the fuse box under the hood. found a spot that is ACC. Lights are on as long as ACC is on (running basically) with no relay. Cant believe LEDs draw that much power.
