rims for my sedan
i am fairly new to buying rims so i thought i get your guys feedback on the matter.I picked this set mainly because of low cost and above average style.
I just bought a set of Micheline X-ice Xi3's a couple months ago so the reason im looking for rims is so i dont ruin my new winters by changing tires. so just tell me what you think. and do keep in mind i have the base model, not the S model as shown on tirerack picture TIRE http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...All&sort=Price ON CAR http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/MiniW...=true&wIndex=2 Last edited by z0mb13k1ll; 02-10-2014 at 12:43 AM. |

no wonder Kia and other companies are all coming up with those weird style rims. people actually do like those.
Anyways, that will work for you. |

I like the looks but how much do they weigh? I decided if I'm going to spend a fair amount of cash on new wheels; I'm going to spend another fair amount on lighter wheels. I want to feel a substantial improvement when I drive away from the tire shop. This summer I hope to have made a selection. Good luck on your search.

Great wheels; I can't wait for the day when I buy my wheels. I personally like black rims with a touch of red maybe.

I find those wheels quite distasteful but to each his own :)

Those wheels weigh about 17 pounds ! More than the steelies. That would be a downgrade
IMHO.

I concur with this opinion, but do what you want. It's your car after all.
As far as weight goes, you will notice it if you get heavy wheels. I had Sport Edition CD wheels on mine for a while and then changed to the Kosei K4R that I have now. Made a big difference going lighter.

Does it just feel like heavier steering (like less power assist) or does it have another affect? Because I do sometimes drive with the power steering relay taken out. Makes it feel like more of a stripped out race car

it's that time of year, when people set aside their winter tires and change into their summers. and occasionally they trade out their old rusty black rims with hubcaps for something a little nicer. thanks for all your input guys! here is the long awaited finished product...
heres the hubcaps and winter tires which i had all winter and heres my new rims! enjoy |

And I just found out the stock rims weighed 17lbs each, so these weren't actually any heavier
