Just bought 2007 Yaris hatch
I recently bought a used 2007 yaris hatch as my daily and so far I'm pretty happy with it. I have a long commute so I was using a crx HF as my beater for the gas mileage but I needed something with rear seats since I occasionally had to pick up my kids. I'm a huge Toyota fan and glad to be a new Yaris owner. I also have a 2010 Camry se, a 2006 sienna, and a 91 mr2 turbo. Just wanted to share some opinions on the car.
Things I like - it's pretty roomy inside for a tiny ass car. - the gas mileage is pretty good. - I love the body style. - the stock radio sounds pretty good. - handles really well. - has a real spare tire unlike most newer cars. - really easy to work on. - its peppy for what it is. Things I dislike - I wish you could slide the front seat back more.. (Im kinda tall) - the rev hang is kinda annoying - the throttle seems overly sensitive but I've gotten used to it. - I wish it had a slide drawer (ash tray) somewhere to keep change - no tach! On a stick shift?! Wth Toyota! Also where's the coolant temp? - the headlights don't light the road enough Plans for the car ( keeping it simple since I daily it) - tein Coilovers which I actually bought and installed last week lol - a damn tachometer and temp gauge that should have been factory installed - that short shift quick shifter thing ( weirdest short shifter for a car I've ever seen.) - some rims maybe 16s - some body work here and there for misc. bumps and bruises the car received previous to me. - tint |

Welcome to YW!
I own almost the exact same car than you (mine did come with a tach). Most of the "cons" can be fixed with mods, and you'll probably find that one of the best features about this car is that it can be just the way you want it for not a lot of money. Check out my sig nature for a links on member fixes and suggestions. I'm pretty sure there's a fix for the seat rail situation...

I have the same car. Why not use the coin holder in the glove box behind the steering wheel or the center counsel?
Enjoy the car! |

That's not original. Previous owner ditched the donut.
