Joining the club!
Hey guys,
Just bought a 2009 Yaris Onyx with about 95k miles on it. I am just curious about what you guys would suggest I get looked at and checked out as I plan on trying to drive this baby for a long time! |

The Yaris vehicles are very solid. The only issues people seem to have are an leaking water pump. Look for spray on the roof of the hood. That's a good indicator. And on occasion a clutch. They are VERY dependable. Probably the most reliable Toyota on the road today.

Had no idea the Onyx existed. Not a bad looking Yaris. All it really needs is low.

Get a rear sway bar, makes the handling MUCH better!

Would it be something I would need to have a mechanic to install? Also any reccomendations? Since I will admit I am not exactly mechanically inclined but wanting to learn. Also really considering getting a cold air filter for it.

Install is quite easy with basic tools. There are plenty of rear sway bar install threads on here that can be easily searched.
