Got a 2010 2D auto w/ very low miles
Hello small car fans.
I decided to sell my 1991 CRX HF while it's still doing well and in good shape. I decided on a Yaris as the replacement since at least it has a chance at good mpg... I got to test drive a 2009 manual and liked the model enough to try for one. I was originally going to insist on a manual with no power anything but I missed out on a 2008 with only 46K miles that was an auto. So that began a several month search for another one with low miles. After a while (and some reading here) I decided to be open to the 2009+ models, even the autos. So I got a 2010 with only 21,700 miles on it. There are some scrapes and one medium dent, but inside is very good and the engine looks great. This one sat unused at 21K for about 18 months according to the seller. That kind of worried me but it drove fine. Anyway, just saying hello. I did my first mileage check and got a very disappointing result, so I may post some questions elsewhere. Pretty happy with it so far except for the first tank... Mark |

Wow! That's incredibly low miles for an 8 year old vehicle
Bought my '10 with 126k on the clock

Thanks - so far it seems to be good. I was a little concerned with a poor 1st mileage check, but on my second tank I got about 33 mpg with ZERO highway, so it's looking better. (Ha - still worse than ANY tank on the old CRX... ah well...)
First on the to-do list (after cleaning) is to get new tires... it still has the originals from 2009...tread is good but there's bad cracks in the sidewalls, so I don't trust them. Looking forward to worry free driving for many miles I hope. It seems this model does well for reliability, even if neglected (which is not my plan...). |

Congrats! Post some photos once you get it cleaned up.
For new rubber, wait for a BIG sale at discounttiredirect.com and save a bundle of cash. Should be another sale around the corner. I'll post as soon as I get word of the next sale. |
