Toyota Yaris Cd player
Good Afternoon.
I wonder if anyone can assist me. I own a 2004 Toyota Yaris, it still has the origional cd player in it. I have tried to burn music onto a CD RW however it keeps coming up with error 1. I have seen in a different thread that people are saying the radio is bust... However the cd player still plays origional cds ( bought from shops). Is ther a certain format the music needs to be in? ( I have tried mp3, and .wav) Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |

Hi there - I'm pretty sure my stock radio played mp3's, but regular audio cd's you used to buy in stores are not in mp3 format. I forget exactly what format the audio files on original pressed cd's are...

Oh man, that's old school tech! A quick googling turns up mixed results: some decks just don't like -RW media; sometimes Disc-at-once (DAO) vs Track-at-once (TAO) makes a difference. It may also be something in the bit rate or codec settings, but that's a wild guess. Try using a good old fashioned CR-R and see what it does.
