CAMS with Blitz Supercharger...
Has anyone with a supercharger installed aftermarket cams?
I've installed some innermotive (JUN Replica) cams and springs and it pretty much made the same power. My thinking is the (blitz) supercharger is only limited on what it can put out on top end? I have to find my original dyno paper to compare the curve..maybe it has more mid range. Maybe the supercharger is tired? It has always made around 5psi. Pretty disappointed nonetheless. Here is a pic of the little nugget! |

Nice Ride, I too run a SC.
Given boost is pretty much fixed in our application I'm not sure cams would make any difference. I am not that knowledgeable when it comes to engine building though....... Instead of chasing HP that way I decided to get my engine management running properly and then start maximizing everything else. Have you upgraded your coils? and what about boring your TB? (Maxbore does a really nice job) What do you run for engine management? 5 psi seems low to me. Mine will get to 9psi in really good conditions and 8psi almost all other times except for the real "soupy" days. What belt do you run? I have had great success with the Gates Split V style........ |

I too run the E-Ultimate. Wanna share files?
We are going to the Dyno next week to see if the coils I bought are good........Okada/IP.....I've read they are good for 14ps peak and a HUGE improvement in the torque curve (thats really what I'm after)........ I'll let you know....... Cheers |

Yeah let me know. Added 1zz injectors, and the car is making less power now. Could it be a VVTi issue?

looking at your AFR the car is stinky lean.......we shoot for about 11.2-11.5
I think your car is retarding the timing because it's too lean......... and maybe I'm doing the conversion wrong but 284nm works out to be 209 ft/lbs of torque, I don't think this is possible with our setup........ |
