Washing everyday won't cause catastrophic paint failure or anything. The only reason some people say that frequent washing could be bad is that it causes more wear on the wax and/or sealants that you (hopefully) apply to the paint every year/6months. Now if you wash with dish detergent or a brillo pad or something like that then yes 2days is way too much, I would simply just suggest stopping at that point.

If your washing your car almost everyday it would be safer to use only water. Its not safe for the paint to be always exposed from chemicals present in soaps and shampoos.

i would consider every two days to be excessive. the cost/water usage doesn't seem valid.

I wouldn't consider it too excessive - then again I wash ours twice a week whether it needs it or not :)
The only things you have to be mindful of when you're a clean freak (as we are) are: 1. Always use a quality, specialized car wash soap. Something that suds up like crazy and ideally has some wax content so it's reviving rather than destroying your protective layer 2. Always use the two-bucket method and use a really top-end car wash mitt. The extra physical agitating you're doing is exponentially increasing the chances of introducing swirls. |

I hope the birds you shoot down with you auto aiming laser toret fall on your car and make a bigger mess.

I would just wash your vehicle once a week. Rinse it down and maybe use some touch up spray for a more detailed look when it gets real dirty before a wash. I wouldn't waste all that product on three + washes a week.
My monthly regimen consist of weekly washing and "touch up" detailing along with the monthly break down with a wax strip and full detailed cleaning. Unless I get lazy I'll re-wax every two months. I only re-wax so frequently because of my parking conditions. |

I'd say you are washing your car about 7-14x too often. You might want to see a doctor about that.
