There's air conditioning....and there's heat. They have no trouble running the air conditioning in the summer but absolutely REFUSE to run the heat until we're all so frozen we can't stand it. Honestly, the year before last we were wearing sweaters, had our blankets, and learned to type with gloves on. I'm so not stretching it...

I'd like someplace in the middle...Virginia/North Carolina area was a nice place to live and I imagine Kentucky/Tennessee would be, too....both areas have a short winter and nice summers.
