2000 Echo
- 1nz - Standard 2nz gearbox - Custom manifold - TD04L (wrx turbo... Super laggy on the 1nz) - 2.5" dump/exhaust - Xr6t front mount - 14x7 rebanded steelies wrapped in the cheapest 185/60's around (32psi) - Full tank of fuel/sub/power tools/spare wheel wheel 15.0! Was my first time at the track so I think I did pretty well. Only got in one run. Barely got traction till a quater of the way through second gear. So with a bit of weight reduction, better/deflated tires, dialing in the gain on the ebc (which I'm yet to install) and of course, more practice, I think I'm a chance of a high-mid 14. |

Not a Yaris or a 1NZ, but a 1NR-FE and I know there are a few other guys here with 1NR-FEs. Heading to the track and reserving this space for timeslip and modification list. Trying to beat the Motorweek record of 17.4 @ 80mph. Fingers crossed for a 16.999 run or better, but my goal is only better than Motorweek.
***UPDATE*** I managed to get 6 runs in before the CVT was too heat-soaked which resulted in my retirement to go home. Looks like I'll be needing a secondary small aluminum radiator before the CVT to aid in cooling. In any case, I made my goal to beat Motorweeks best factory time of 17.4 @ 80mph (mostly). I managed a 17.348 @ 79.10mph with headwind gusts of 25mph (pics in comments) and a gradual incline from the line to the traps of around 6-12 feet. Over all, I'm satisfied for a car with 94hp and 89tq and although a 16.999 would have been nice to see, I'm sure I'll manage it at some point in the future. Thanks to a friend, who managed to record a video against an Evolution X, that somehow only managed a 16.091 @ 97mph to my 17.348 @ 79mph. So here's the vid, with pics and other info. Modifications - 1ZZ throttle body, K&N drop in filter with velocity stack forward facing on airbox, DC Sports catback exhaust. Last edited by MugenRep; 04-08-2017 at 08:56 PM. |

Looks like you gained some good knowledge/experience on how the car performs and managed to beat the Motor Trend numbers --all while having a good time. Super cool.

Yes Sir! Wasn't my first time at the strip, but it was definitely my first time with any sort of automatic (previously with my supercharged Ep3 running 13.8 at 105mph). Launching in this car is going to require some experimentation as it only revs to 2200rpms and doesn't seem to want to come up to the full 6250 rpm very quickly from a stop. I saw on a few other boards that people lightly let off and slam their foot back down to engage a computer response that encourages a steeper variable gear to be chosen. I don't know though as I've yet to try it. Yesterday morning I also made sure to change a few things including fully gutting both primary and secondary cats (seems like it made a difference, but who knows). Now to install the Camcon, take the backseat out, put my lighter motorcycle Deka battery (made for liter bikes), get some thermal material and see if I can add a gasket between the block and intake manifold, and do a Maxbore port and polish. Then see what it can do in a 1/4 mile run.

Man, you've got what sounds like a good plan to me. Deka battery, interesting. Is the trade-off just not lasting as long, or?

Thank you, Sir! I did have a Deka ETX for awhile on my Ep3 and it did have a shortened life of about 2 years versus 5-6 of my previous Red Top Optima battery. CC amps are lower at around 200cc to 320cc depending on the Deka chosen.

2NZFE with ITB, ebay header and Link G4+ 16.434 @ 83.24mph 2.62 second 60ft ![]() ![]() ![]() When the car was stock it did a 17.6 @ 77mph and 2.5 second 60ft. So it could have gone faster again but I only got six runs and wasnt doing any burnouts. Will have another go when I've got a 1NZ and C56 in there. |

Prius Type C 1NZFXE with Silvertop ITB Link G4+ standard header and exhaust JUN 264 cams BC valve springs C56 gearbox. 14.74 @ 94.6mph 2.572 60ft So definitely some good potential to go quicker with a good launch. A decent exhaust would likely help a lot too! 261552846_10158824157182198_2891773982713736936_n.jpg |

I ran a new PB, but the timeslip has awful printing on it that's hard to read.
Important parts: 60ft: 2.09 Quarter mile: 13.49 sec Trap speed: 99.5mph Happy with that! Here's a video of the run. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EsjwkvBHAqI |

last weekend at sentul drag fest 2022, indonesia
16.204 in indo drag race, we didn't get the timeslips, so we used the time from the official results ![]() ![]() will replace the heavy OZ futura for lightweight enkei for next year, hopefully this car will run constant 16.0, as the class I participate is index 16.0 class in Indo there's 1500cc NA class, but the regulation is unclear so I'm not joining that class |
