I topped off my tank (just a few gallons) on 3/17 near my house without searching on GasBuddy for a cheap station. I paid $2.13 9/10 for regular, and premium was 65 cents a gallon higher at $2.78 9/10 at that station.

I noticed the spreads between fuel grades were getting larger when I moved from CA to TX. Used to be a 10 cent delta, here in TX it was 14 cents. Regular was around $2/gal then here, I thought maybe it was a TX thing.
But the more I think about it, the higher the price of fuel, the more try can get away with a bigger difference between grades, as it is proportionately still fairly appropriate. 50+ cents to hi-test is a bit extreme though.

Double gold today. Gas down three cents to $2.219 and a 42.16mpg fillup thanks to the return of nice weather and some favourable drives. Sweet! That's more like what I am used to.

Seeing $2.09 now here in NJ at many stations. According to the Wall Street journal oil prices per barrel are declining after their spike in price and are hovering around $43.
What Im looking for now are declining oil you put in your engine prices. Black Friday for many years Pep Boys had $6 a case of 12 for Castrol! Now even regular oil is $3-4 a quart.

Working at a parts store had its charms. :D two years' worth of oil changes (with some of the best oil in the planet) for under $30. Filters will be extra.

Round here it's pretty constantly 2.199 right now.
Over in Waco where I'm going to school it seems to range from 2.099 at a few stations, to about 2.259 at others, with the majority coming in at 2.159 or 2.189. Frustratingly, my fuel of choice (Texaco/Chevron) seems to be at the top end of the range there in Waco. So, I conserve my fuel when I am there and fill up here on the weekends.

Wow nearly a month since a post on this subject!
Gas has been going up here in South Jersey. Paid $2.35 last weekend. Good news is my new Honda CRF250L is getting 75 mpg on rides of at least 100 miles. 66 is about it for commuting to work.

Went to fill up my car yesterday morning; the price had jumped to 1.189 CAD per litre. Guess they have figured out all us retired people would be getting our pension cheque and buying gas yesterday.

I paid $3.13 9/10 in Woodbridge, CA (next to Lodi, CA) on 4/29/15. Gas Buddy showed two different Mobil stations at $3.05 9/10 only 2 hours before that...but by the time I got to each station, the price had increased 8 cents per gallon. This is the first time I've paid over $3.00 per gallon since leaving the Houston area on this jaunt. I've paid in the high 2's ever since entering California. I drove through California (stopping really only to rest at night) last summer on my way from Washington to Texas. Diesel is now cheaper in California than 87 octane. I don't think that was the case last summer. The latest California Cap and Trade regulations went into effect on January 1, 2015 . I drove by a station in Livermore, CA a couple of hours ago, and the prices were $3.75 9/10 per gallon for 87 octane and $3.95 9/10 for super. I imagine many stations in San Francisco are over $4.00 per gallon for 87 octane. The 50 cheapest stations right now in San Francisco for 87 octane range from $3.35 9/10 per gallon to $3.95 9/10 per gallon. Back in the Houston area, I could get a gallon of 87 octane at one of the Kroger locations in The Woodlands today for $2.09 9/10 per gallon ,
