okay, i realize all your prices are in US $$ and i'm canadian but we will try and see how its goes.....
i dont know what the start cost was of my car but i do know the final 2010 Yaris RS 5dr 5speed with rally spoiler and extra set of black rims and winter tires cost me flat out, after tax and everything, me driving off the lot was $22,400 CD. i was told by other dealers that they could not beat that price and that was about cost for the car..... using quick math and todays exchange rate of 0.9552, the exact same car would have cost me...... 21,3XX..... thats the cash price, not finance or lease. looking back now i wonder.....

Sounds pretty high... even with all the stuff..
What's the Yaris RS, and why is it so expensive? |

the RS is basicallt the sport. its top of Yaris hatchback with all bells and gagets yaris has to offer. main points, body kit, 6 disk in dash changer, 60/40 slit seats, power everything, extra interior leather trims (still cloth seats) keyless entry, lights do interesting things when u unlock/lock/open door/turn off car, all saftey options (extra front and side airbags) rims (not ugly ass wheel covers) heated mirrors and power mirrors, tinted glass, colour front/rear/mirrors, rear wiper, fog lamps.
Mechanical only has a few extra's such as Vehicle Stabibility control, front and rear disks breaking system, ABS, EBD and BA all included. it also sits a little wider...not exactly sure how but thats what it says in the information booklet.

yup , very little left for payoff through TOYOTA for the '09 . The new loan with TOYOTA will be less than $130 per month for 5 years at 5.5 % . We always try to pay twice the amount for monthly payment ( principal ) . That way cuts time of loan and helps towards less of a loan when urge to get a new car comes along and if become ill won't have to be concerned for payment for few months or more . Sort of like disability . Saves money on interest as well . The tax for 2010 is less than $280 .

oops , M.S.R.P. is $15,823 - $750 ( TOYO REBATE ) = $15,073 - $11,750 ( '09 TRADE ) = 3,323 -$750 ( Dealer Discount ) = $2,573 . Excludes tax , fees, etc.. Still reasonable .

just got home from dealer with the 2010 automatic BLAZING BLUE 3 dooor . Had studded snows removed from '09 5 door ( trade in ) and put on 3 door at their service center . Car only had 6 miles when we test drove it . Hooked up ECO-METER in 2010 at dealership and got 34.8 m.p.g. overall . This was with gusty winds , 12 degree temps , studded snows all around , 2 people , average speed of 50 m.p.h. , and 4 GOODYEAR EAGLE LS tires in plastic bags ( 1 behind each front seat and 2 laying on fold down rear seats ) . Not so bad .

went out for a drive earlier and at one point the ECO-METER showed was averaging 40.2 m.p.g. . Got back home and E.M. showed 38.2 miles per gallon overall . This is with 4 studded tires . Not to shabby so far .

I checked out that ECO-METER online and here on these forums, sounds like a great toy which will teach you greener driving.
That's some great mpg you got, and it's an automatic. I'm really interested in how much I'm getting. I can only estimate for now, since I didn't do a full tank fill up last time. |
