yeah i have a question, you say it bolts to the stock spring cups? is that the top of the springs, inside the trunk/hatch or outside the car underneath??? I don't want anything taking up my trunk space.

This is honestly going to be one of the simplest installs on this car, it shouldn't take more than 20 min. and simple hand tools. You probably won't even have to remove the wheels. Here is a picture of the bar on the Scion Xb/Xa: Keep in mind that the Scion had a sway bar built into the stock trailing arm also, which we don't even have. This is going to make a big improvement on our cars! Punch, thanks for the PM! I added you to the list |

woof is seriously, seriously interested. Right now, you're saying $140 delivered, right? Well, will it come with photographic instructions?

I sure hope that its a bit more involved than the sway bar for the Scion since that sure doesn't look like it is going to do anything. Its a bar that is attached to a solid rear beam axle and nothing else. Seems like it would be like trying to stiffen a pencil by gluing a tooth pick to it. You would think it would be mounted to the chassis at some point.

Is the progress rear sway bar going to be similar to the one in this article? sway bar for prius.
After reading that article, I understand how the bar would reduce understeer, which is good (to a point). But how would it work in connection with (or instead of) an front upper strut bar? Thanks!

The front strut bar, rear strut bar (upper), and other chassis reinforcement bars can help improve your handling also by reducing chassis twist. Most of the ones that go on the front, will theoretically increase chances of understeer and bars that go on the back should increase oversteer. In my oppinion, the rear sway bar is by far the most effective one from the above mentioned bars. largeorangefont is now confirmed, let me know if anyone else wants in! |
