im having the same issue and its getting scary driving on the freeway. I went to a Firestone and they checked shocks/struts which were okay. They put on new tires and did an alignment. The tires are Champion Fuel Fighter BL 185/60r15. Are these okay tires?
With that wandering/floating feeling is there any chance the car can just flip over? It certainly feels like it when the freeway veers right. |

If your car does not have one already, get a rear sway bar installed first, then consider new tires if still needed..... they are easy to install. just do a diy rear sway bar search on here for more info.

[QUOTE=IllusionX;806759]I don't think I've ever mentioned before. Be careful when just adding a rear sway bar to a stock car. The car will oversteer more in corners.
Be careful at first but don't worry about it....i added one to my Yaris and on the flip side i would probably be concerned about how it handles if someone were to remove the sway bar without telling me.. |

Just add a few bags of sand in the spare wheel well. With an extra 80-100lbs or so on the rear axle you'll be just fine driving up to 80mph. With 150lbs on the hitch and 100lbs in the rear I got up to 100mph before the car felt a little float with a (driver) single occupancy.
