BTW, never said I gave a damn what people think of my car, or anything else of mine for that matter. Just found it strange that I've had the car for 7 whole months now but people around town chose just this random ass day to sport the dirty looks. If it continues tomorrow I just might have to roll down my window and give them the "Ice Cube look":

I must say one thing though. My father always said, "You will always need a truck, even if just once in a while". For example, when hurricane Ike passed through and took my fence, I needed to borrow his F-150 to pick up the lumber.

I do agree, most live in an urban area and have no REAL use for a truck. But for us that live in suburban/rural areas, or actually work with our hands, then yes a truck is a useful tool (especially if its partially flooded).

Another thing, for us who work in the Texas Medical Center, we sometimes need a truck to get through the "manageable" floods so that the hospitals remain open.

I doubt anyone here would say trucks are useless. They are just horrid commuting vehicles.

I commute in my 2007 Tundra....... 2 miles haha, but I do notice that people drive more aggressively towards me in the Yaris compared to my Tundra.

Yeah, i agree with every single thing everyone has said! I usually get people in trucks/bigger vehicles who try to go faster then me or try to pass me at extreme speeds to just make a point. But they get pissed off more when i pass them faster :)

i've noticed that since i've had my yaris (march 08) i have not been pulled over (knock on wood) though i have sped by many cops. always got pulled over in the 3000gt or katana600.

An 8 year old boy, who live next door to my parents, told me that I drive a "pussy car." His parents have Tahoe and an Audi Q7.

Other than that, I get lots of love for my choice of car.

No ones says much bad things about my yaris, not to my face at least hehe. But I am happy with the choice, turned out to be a good reliable university car.
