Trim rings and some kind of centre cap looks so much better than stock wheel covers!

I agree. Too bad they don't make the wheels so hubcaps will snap in the center, as they did on older style steel wheels.

If anyone is considering buying center caps from http://www.hubcaps.org/tercel.html, im going to forewarn you that its sort of a shady business....

About 2 weeks ago I put in an order for 4 center caps... I received a confirmation email from them saying the order will ship to my home in 1-6 business days.

All is well.

6 business days pass so I call them up and ask them if they know whats going on with my order. The guy on the other line tells me that the reason its taking so long is because they are "making sure they send me the best center caps and the order is being prepared to ship now" in broken english.

A few days later I get a call from the website saying that really they only have 2 of those caps and I can either cancel the order completely with a 10% "restocking fee" or they can just send me two caps. He also offered so generously to send me some BROKEN IN HALF center caps for a lesser price.

needless to say, im not too happy about it.

So for anyone thats considering this site, i'd suggest you either call and make sure they have all the caps first, or just dont order from them at all.

Go to the junk yard, thats what i did...i got 4 caps for 5 dollars....and now im going to get some tint with the $95 I saved...

Thumbs up

I needed to rotate my tires so instead I dug out my steelies with the original Bridgestones...only 1k miles on 'em. I got some trim rings for $11 ea and vwah lah....a new look for a while. I like it....kinda sporty. Now to find some center caps...cheap. I'll put my alloys back on in the spring.

in america is it cool to drive round with steel wheels kitted up? here in the uk people never do that, they either put plastic trims on or put a set of alloys on

tbh i think its pretty lame, but if thats the kinda thing people do over there, and you think it looks cool, then i suppose its ok

I'm glad you approve. In my case my alloys are in the closet till spring. These "kitted up" steelies allow me to use my other new tires and give me a different look for a while.

I wouldnt say its a popular thing to do, but it is considered cool on a yaris IMO. I get a lot of looks ... worth the money...
