Way to go PeterPoop. I'm glad you got a baseline of your car. I wanted to shoot myself after pulling 90 hp before the S/C. It's sobering because the car "feels" so fast. I can't wait for your dyno chart after the S/C.
I'm jealous of your numbers, Tamago, but I'm confused. What do you mean you removed fuel? You drained fuel from your tank? You changed octane?

Peter, didn't he measure your air/fuel ratio? I thought I saw a sniffer in the tailpipe.

He did have one there. He was showing me stuff on the computer about that, saying how the stock piping is restricting some power. However, his dyno sheet he gave me doesn't really show anything! I look at your guys dynojet sheets and it shows temp, mod lists, and all of that jazz. I don't know if he was lazy or what?
When I go back for the 2nd dyno run (once everything else is on), i'll be sure to have it done right this time. Since they are open until 7pm, i'll show up there around 6pm, when it's a little cooler here. |

He may still have the a/f readings stored in the computer. Ask him if he can give you a printout. That's how I knew that I went from a normal a/f ratio to lean AFTER the S/C.

Hmmm, I am also in Honolulu with a bone stock Yaris AT. Just ordered some Tanabe Springs from Munkeywerks, maybe I should get my Yaris dyno'ed for comparison!

I think the most accurate dyno would be a SINGLE STANDARD to rate power. Its only more 'accurate' than another if there are so many standards to go by. So dumb.
Not to say I'm bagging on the Dyno you did. I just think its lame everyone has a diff way to rate power. Me? I use my iTouch's Dynolicious. MOST ACURATE DYNO EVAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I have someone hold the iTouch on the rear seat, and launch it foreward, as I accelerate, its like my quarter mile breaks 10 seconds. FASTEST YARIS EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR Garm, eat your heart out. =] And If I swing my arm in a circle, I can get a zero-60 in less than 3 seconds. |

a dyno is a tool more than it is a tell-all. just make sure to either use a properly calibrated dyno or at least the same dyno every time you want to discover your newfound horsepower.

And anyways, who cares if there is a 10% flux? As long as its a standard, it wouldn't really matter. |

Wouldn't you get a more accurate and true hp numbers if you id the dyno on a Dynojet?
The problem with the dynapak is that you're doing the dyno with no wheels. So you gotta factor in the weight of the wheels also. Granted you're running SSR's and they probably weigh anywhere form 8 to 10 pounds for the wheels alone. Wheels and tires you're probably around 30 to 34 pounds each. |

This is a quote from cali yaris: "You will get more accurate numbers with the DynaPak (chassis dyno) than with a DynoJet." So there you go, if garm says it's more accurate, everyone else is wrong. Thank you Quote:
