the smart CAN be cool if you swap the engine and use it as a play toy

but yea this "green" movement is screwing everything up

more crap thats going to break and cost more money to fix down the line

that right there is the killer

they rated the ford Ka over this car :::shocked:::

interesting read, dont really know how i feel about it.....

i think i like the cube a lot better but hard to tell until you really get to drive one

This car has nothing to do with a Ford Ka.
This is a much smarter but also smaller car.

Then again i don't like the new Fords with their ''overdesign''.
And we had 3 Fords but never!! again.

Hopefully it comes to Canada. Since the Scion is coming here, Toyota will need to beef-up that segment. Traction control would be necessary for our slick road, and a bigger engine to handle all the stop and go driving.

For the twisty snow filled road, I'd prefer some intuitive hand/emergency brakes and a car that understeers, rather then one that'll loose it's rear end. Perhaps a more balanced setup would be preferable in a longer wheel base car, but in such a small car, the safest setup is best.

Looks about right for my wife to run across town to work. Might be a tad intimidating on the highway with a semi on the rear bumper. At least it doesn't look like a telephone booth on wheels like the Smart which looks as if it would fall on it's face if the front brakes were locked.

I love it and I have never even seen one in person. If its as roomy as the Yaris, I might sell my Yaris and buy one.

Hi

Itīs a lot smaller inside than the Toyota Yaris.
The passenger seat is a little bit closer to the front than the drivers side, for making more room for the rear seat passenger. There is space enough at the front seats, but the rear seat is real thin and not much space for legs etc. The trunk is almost not visible, only about 30cm-50cm. long.
It drives very well and would be perfect for only one or two persons with no bagage.

Regards Steven.

if any varient of the U.S. bound vw polo is rated 40 mpg+, i will be all over it. this is what a hatchback should look like, and this is what a subcompact interior should look like in my world.. it (interior) doesnt have to be barren like the yaris or a hodge podge mess like the fit. can we just stick this interior into the yaris?

everything ive read indicated the 5 door will be here first and the 2 dr will come at a later date. as usual, we'll see how much they screw it up by the time it makes it to the n. american market.

It's so booooring and VW's are ''zum kotsen''

The're are very unreliable; the VW Golf and Polo are rated very low on every reliability test and did i forgot to say that they are boring?!?

Scion IQ is supposed to be unveiled on Wednesday, April 8 at 12:05 p.m. EDT at the New York Autoshow.... Most say it is likely to have the 1.5L from the Yaris under the hood.

.....Still not sure why the Yaris sedan and hb arent Scions yet
