I believe that the wiring is in place for the power lock for the hatch. The simplest way to have a remote unlock would be electrical, rather than mechanical, particularly if the wiring is there. You could buy a single A1 actuator and trigger it with a momentary pushbutton switch (or rocker for lock/unlock) mounted someplace convenient up-front (and maybe a second lock button in the cargo area). If you want to give that a shot, let me know and I'll scope out the wiring...

don't have that problem. but you can fix it buy sharpening a pencil and using the powder left. get some on the key and it works like a miracle.

OK. Someone without the power package, pull the rear hatch cover and see if there is a two pin connector sitting there with a pink and grey wire.

i use moly lube...same thing u put on ur piston rings but it's in a powder form. it's awesome...and it's dry

if you can't or dont want to pay 15 bux for moly lube get graphite for about a buck in any hardware section or store or evey parts place.

that was my first thought, a switch in the console and a single actuator, but then if i'm out somewhere I have to open the car to put packages in the hatch. Full set of locks might be a better idea...
