I use to work two full time jobs and didn't have time to stop even for fast food. I got into the habit of making a sandwich to eat while I drive. Now I make a sandwich and take it to work and eat when I have a chance. It's not about money, but saving time and calories.

i usually bring lunch.. i have a lime green neoprene lunch pail..

we have a cafeteria at work thats open mon-fri.. i use that on occasion.. they have good breakfast! when i work weekends, we go out for fast food or togo....AAA style yo!

I'm out of town alot. I love bringing a lunch, you get bored of restaurants after a while, especially alone.

Having said that, I still do eat out. Mostly when: A) work keeps me away from home longer than 24 hours, or; B) they call me with such short notice that I don't get to pack a lunch (like yesterday).

Twenty-four hours doesn't sound like much, but I figured it out to be about twenty bucks of meals a day that are saved - and when you're away from home as frequently as I am, that typically means a minimum savings of $200, $400 being more common.

That's my entire Yaris payment!

i only get a half-hour for lunch so i usually just bring leftovers from the previous night or just grab a soda and candy bar from the vending machine(which i don't count as 'eating out'). yeah, i'm poor.

i bring lunch from home to work/college....i'll eat out if i have 2 or more friends w/ me. Otherwise home cooked lunch and restaurant foods on friday/saturday nights.

I hit tha Sams Club by my work quite often. $1.62 for a polish dog and a 32oz soda or $2.86 for two slices of pizza and a soda. :)

I have an office space all to myself most days. It has a microwave, mini-fridge and a sink so it rocks for leftovers, reusable containers and reusable dishes/utensils. It's just my wife and I at home so when we cook it's easy to plan for leftovers. I also keep a few frozen organic dinners on hand for the rare occasion we're out of leftovers.

I use an insulated lunch bag that I've had for 15 years and put the leftovers in clear plastic containers that I bought from a thrift store. I add in some fruit and dessert sometimes.

I do eat out but only 1-3 times per month, usually just when someone wants a lunch meeting or a bunch of us are going together. I don't eat fast food and aside from some sandwich shops there aren't any fast food places or franchise restaurants in the town where I work (this is by design), so even when I eat out it's fairly healthy stuff.

Here's a tip for microwaving leftovers (or just about anything else): Use another dish to cover the one your food is in, such as a saucer plate over a bowl or one dinner plate atop another. Once finished simply rinse it off and let it air dry. No disposable items required and your food stays moist.
