From what I've seen the DONT light up... they just have that odd and awkward blue glow on all the new prius's.... I think it looks SOOOO out of place and tacky, almost like you left some painter's blue duct tape around the emblem when you painted it and forgot to remove it.... people who have seen them will know what Im talking about.

NOT COOL.

i'm on the fence... i used to think it looked tacky, too, but the more you see it, the more it kinda grows on you lol

sorry if my typing came across harsh.

it's just as Yar1s stated and I stated too, it's just the look of it. instead of it having that grille inside the chrome areas, they made it smooth and put a black sticker with blue 'halo' edging.

yes it can be removed; but put on a yaris we'll have to wait and see if someone at a dealership wants to do it....

or I can wait for a totaled prius to come in.....

$365 sounds pretty outrageous... i'm betting i can get them from the dealership cheaper than that.

and to shroomster it's all good. i thought you were being kinda short but that's my bad for misinterpreting.

Those aren't light ups. They look lit but its actually a piece of plastic behind the emblem. I'm gonna be picking up a filter from the dealer tomorrow so I'll check it again. But pretty sure I remember it being just a sheet of plastic.

I saw one in person in a parking lot the other day, and as others have said it didn't look like it would light up. Not sure why it looks that way in those pictures, though, that is weird. Anyway, I thought it looked ugly / tacky... not nearly as nice as it looks in the photos posted upthread. Also, as far as the questions about whether it would fit a Yaris... it looked too large compared to the existing logo badge on a Yaris, but I didn't measure it.

I saw one of these and it didn't register to me that it was prius-specific, just thought it was a cool mod. I liked how it looked in person :x I would buy them if they weren't so expensive... and if someone did it first and posted pics to show if it fit right!

This just gave me a really good idea. Need to go by Home Depot.

Hmm, if you're going to try to make something custom that looks similar... I would buy a version with purple instead of blue!
