I believe the shaft diameter on the manual is 12mm. It's 8mm for the automatic... if that's what you were asking.

I concur, still curious as to what use KSI may have had for the outer diameter of the knob though if this is not what he was refering to.

Yes, I learned this the hard way when I tried to install a well travelled OBX shift knob with an 8mm insert (oh my buddha mm - is this the USSR) and a base ring meant for the automatic stick shaft.
