How about a full glass roof?

I was gonna go with Classic Soft Trim, since they are the largest aftermarket sunroof installer in America and many dealerships use them. But sometimes I get annoyed easily and I got rubbed the wrong way when I called them and asked the desk girl if they had installed in any Yarii and she said yes, about 4 and none of em had came back with leaks. When I had a more technical question she transferred me to the installer/owner and he said they'd never done any Yarii, so I informed him and he said oh, she was just telling you what you wanted to hear, and when I asked her, she got tongue tied.

Anyway, I called the largest Toyota dealerships in town and said I had interest in one, and asked them which installer they used since I wanted to make sure the company was reputable. And most said "Texas Auto Trim", so there I went directly since most dealerships mark the price up as the middleman. So sorry for long answer- there's only a Houston location. But for you, maybe Classic Soft Trim!

You can get a power spoiler type sunroof for about $350. Pop-up types for under $200. I don't know where a consumer can buy a moonroof to install yourself.

Sunroof

Fantabulousbaby it looks great!
I wish I did not see this thread now I am going to have to get me one!
I wanted that color Yaris too but when the dealer came down 2300.00 bucks to sell me the loaded Flint Mica Yaris S sedan w/abs off his lot rather than bringing in the blue one from two states away,
I could not resist the money savings for the same car, for sacrificing the color.
I guess now for the savings the dealer gave me I could justify the expense to my wife as a free upgrade. I hope it works.

Well, if I had my choice originally I would've chose silver as it hides dirt and scratches well.. but in order to find the nearest S model I had to fly from Houston to Phoenix to get it, and it was Nautical blue.. which I like now, but I do have to wash it more often.

Note about the moonroof, when I look out my apartment window from the 2nd floor, I notice that my moonroof is larger than the cars surrounding me! (Honda Accord, Nissan Altima, etc) And I think that's cool. I luvvv that open air feeling (and the sky view). Now I'm glad I agreed with the installer when he suggested the 'largest one that'll fit in your car' (Webasto-Hollandia 735).

That is a biggun. I doubt that would fit in the liftback (which is narrower).

That looks GREAT! I had a Webasto on my 94 Mustang...always solid and never leaked a drop. I'm sure they have made changes, but the model I had featured a plastic worm gear, which wasn't a good idea. The motor was replaced once under warranty and then failed again. I actually received a check from the President of Webasto to cover the cost of the second motor, which was out of warranty. I was impressed with the customer service. I'm going to print out your pictures and do some shopping. (that is, if I can convince my wife that spending upwards of a grand is a good idea:)

No difference. If you have it open during the day, it is a sunroof and if you have it open during the night, it is a moonroof. LOL

Actually when purchasing either the sunroof opens all the way and the moonroof is usually only a pop up.

The model is (Webasto) Hollandia 735, which is full inbuilt, tilt and slide. There is a slight curve when looking from inside but it looks fine in person- it's cuz the glass needs somewhere to go. They also moved my light on ceiling-cool, I thought I was gonna lose that. I was gonna go with Inalfa until I found out Webasto alone has over 50% market share in sunroof manufacturing industry, and is in a lot of factory added options! I'm sooo happy with it. Price was $1199, took one full day. I was soo happy with it I took lots of pics, enjoy

(More shots in next reply box since I can only upload 5 at a time).................................

ok I just spent 30 min trying to upload the pics as jpg attachments and a pop up says, "Specified invalid post, if you followed a valid link please contact the administrator", and I have.. so maybe I'll try again tomo

Where did you have it done?
