great, I just painted the roof, hood, mirror trim and the window trim that divides side front window and rear window black. I got to go to work, I got progress pictures but wanted to post all of them at the same time when I got all the color done.

1.5 just sold me his old AWD chassis, I should be getting that in about a week or so. excited!

The one I let go had a Peugeot 206 body and an sti body. My other is a nitro powered stadium truck and the savage I just bought is a monster truck. I am more into off-road.

ok, here is the black on the car. I bought a blue and when I test sprayed it on a separate piece of plastic, I didn't like how light it looked. So I will go later today and get a darker blue.. I would really like to get as close to Blazing Blue as possible. BUT, my fiance is really pushing for an orange, which I think would look awesome also. I haven't quite decided yet

Update: My fiance went with me to get the paint. I told her either orange or blue, So she liked this burnt orange color but it looked more like a light brown. But I thought why not. If I dont like it, I could always get another shell and do another color.

My original plan is to make this model like I want my yaris to be one day.

So here is after the few coats of paint

The finished product with stickers.

well I would like to install actual headlights and tail lights. Also I forgot to do the mirrors. I'll do that later today.
I figured I could easily setup a separate battery system with a switch for that, Its the mounting them that I need to figure out.. any suggestions?

HAHA! yes, thats a good idea Matt. @fnkngrv, thanks, It is a fun and cheap project. She lets me mod this one because the mods I want for the actual size one is too expensive right now, saving up for a wedding next year so big mods are on hold.

Looking good man. I had no idea it had that lip kit on it, super cool. As far as real lights, that is something that is pretty big in R/C right now. Here are a couple kits FS and as you can see are very cheap.

Ok, got the chassis in and it doesn't fit.. Son of a monkey!

Was my fault. I was probably too excited and got a couple numbers confused..

Any pointers in the correct type of chassis I can use on my Yaris?

measurements:

Hub to Hub: 215mm

front-back pilot holes for body pins: 200mm

Wheel base: 175mm

quick update. After searching, I have fount probably my only bet is to use the HPI Switch chassis. I can not find a AWD version of this, only FWD.

EDIT:

I have found what I am looking for http://www.hpiracing.com/kitinfo/100594/

Now I need to sell this one and buy that one. lol.. WHY DIDN'T I SEE THIS LAST WEEK!
