leave the part of the stock input pipe with the MAF on it and put a high flow filter in place of the paper filter. The diameter of the pipe at the MAF is very sensitive (as stated above).

I feel you on the price, mine was ~$200

As for positioning, I'm pretty sure it was well centred, if I remake one ill make sure its positioned as good as I can.

Awesome thanks, is it the same size tubing for the bit you measured all the way along the length?
