i bet the key that would not work on the trunk was the valet key. they usually have a slight curve to them. when i bought my car used it only had one key and it was the valet key. they will open doors and start car but will not work on trunk.

Nah, I bought my car new. I received the master key with fob and spare keys. The master key has opened the trunk fine for over 6 years.
