I've adding some additional grounding, but have yet to add to the alternator positive. I see an improvement in voltage with my headlights on (prior to adding the grounding it was 13.8-13.9v, now it's 14.0-14.1v). I haven't had the need to use my rear defrosters very much, so I'm not sure if I'll still experience that mpg drop that I did in the past.

the MPG drop could be from added load on alt.
