Don't understand why. Aren't the Yaris' light enough? Any lighter and they'll blow away in the wind while standing still.

Essentially makes the engine work more efficiently by having to work less to rotate lighter wheels (frees up some existing hp to the wheels), so better acceleration. Also enables you to stop sooner and corner better. Oh, and better mpg.

lol. Yup, my staggered VS-XX set up (17x7 and 17x8) with what ever Japanese tires are on them weigh 43.5lbs each. Thought there was something wrong with the scale, so I weighed myself for a baseline, and then weighed myself carrying each wheel/tire at a time. All came out to be 43.5lbs ???

justjesus, I've had too many 17's already (five sets so far if I haven't forgotten one). lol. If I ever get another set of rims, it'll be those 6UL in nickel color in 15x7. hahaha =D

The only reason I have the 17s myself, is that they came with my CRX. That little thing has huge brakes and needs clearance. I've since bought 16s. Eventually, I ditch the big brakes and go to 15s.

I had some nice lightweight wheels on the Yaris... totally feel the difference.

Yeah, when I had 16" Rota Grids, I could feel the differences when ever I would swap between it and one of the 17's I had. haha. I can only imagine what really light weight 15's would feel like.
