Hello All, first post!
So my other half was driving her 07 Yaris (180K) to school this morning and it dies, I have it towed home and do the tests above and I have no power on 4A-8 ok so I am thinking its the relay so I apply 12v to pin 4A-8 and i can hear the pump run, so I try to start and still nothing! so I remove the fuel hose at the engine and power the pump the same way and I get very black gas out of the line not a lot about 3 cups and then it stops. if I remove power to the pump and apply it again same thing happens. so I am assuming that the pump was on its way out and could of took out the relay. Anyone else ever seen this happen? |

Test so far: EFI relay at pins 1A-2 & 1A-3 read 175ohms Powered the relay up and read 0.8ohms at pins 1A-1 & 1A-4. Coil of C/OPN relay at 4B-9 & 4E-5 read 183 ohms The contacts read 12.68 volts at pins 4A-8 & 4B-11 Then at fuel pump under rear seat WHT/BLK(-) cable & BLK(+) cable and got no voltage then put (+) lead to BLK cable and (-) lead to chasis and read 12.52 volts then (-) lead to WHT/BLK cable and (+) lead to battery terminal (+) and got no voltage . Put a jumper cable from ground to 4E-5 turned key to on position and the pump came on so i turned the car over and it stared ran for 5 secs. and stalled out. Turned it over 2 more time but wouldnt start Pulled the fuel line off the fuel rail and turned the key to the on position i can hear the pump on but no fuel or air came out.(note: jumper at 4E-5 was still in.) Hello all, I want to know it there is a return system for the fuel for toyota yaris 2NZ-FE (1.3VVTI). My problem now is about consumption (too much).

I have a 2008 Yaris, I have replaced fuel pump and integration relay, car still will not start. I sprayed a little starting fluid and it started right up. No power to the fuel pump, but not sure where to go from there. Sounds like from this thread that it might be the c/opn relay, but not sure what it looks like. Any help?
