Coil over and winter don't mix well and will not last as long as strut ,spring combo tho coil overs have some benefits as a DD driver I prefer spring and strut set up...my 2 cents on this

I have yet to see what that old jerk winter is going to throw at my car. I'm grateful for my underground heated parking and water hose access. Those height adjustment threads are getting plenty of rinses.
But if your car never sees snow, I don't see why not for the coilovers. Especially if they're at this price. My heavily biased opinion. Exi's totally got a point about no-hassle simplicity, though. Less parts to fail, less worries, all performance I'd want for street. If only springs were more readily offered with conservative drops, like 1-1.5". |

Rinse ..well water make rust I say set it up for winter and use lots of antsize on them anything that will keep salt and moisture away.

Anyway, cdenton134, if you get these coilovers, might as well pick up 403RS's sway bar to even things out. Amongst us all here, there's not much argument against that.
That is, of course, if soldout doesn't get to it first. |

I was leaning toward springs and shocks but I was turned off from a couple of my friends who own subarus and are running BC's. But are springs a shocks a good way to go? I'm looking to go lower and not to "bouncy" if you know what I mean?? I want to be stiffer, would a performance shock help with that? What performance shock would work good? Sheekee and exi, help a brotha out... Totally new to this trying to get much info needed

Second, think hard about your objectives. How low, how stiff, do you want adjustability vs set it and forget it? Once you get a proper thread going, you will get much more exposure and advice.
