Wheel weight

What is a low/normal/high value for rim/wheel weights?

I was thinking of getting some 17's, but the total weight is about 40lbs with rims and wheels. the rims are around 20lbs. is that horrible?

I have the stock 15" steelies now, anyone know how heavy they are alone/with tires?
