seriously though, I don't understand exactly how my age is of any significance. I'm not in the 16-24 age range which I figure you probably suspect however. I'll be 26 in January. |

my wifes aveo is running a single mtx 10" on the stock deck. it is using kenwood speakers. its not a show winning setup, but its pretty clean and sounds good considering i only have about 150 bucks in the whole set up.
stock decks can be clean esp if you get some low power high efficiency speakers that are of decent build. may not be the ideal set up, but if you are low on cash or just like the simplicity of a factory deck, meh, it works.

same here, an mp3 on aux doesnt seem as natural sounding, seems like its being converted... Dead and low... unless someone has a fix for this?

I upgraded from a $25 aux cab to a $70 aux cable and now it is damn near on par with the CD player sound quality... also depends on the MP3 player

It's not all in the cable and player but they are what you can upgraded yourself to improve the sound. Sound quality is always going to be lost just by it being an MP3 and by it going through multiple connections.
I personally use a Audioquest Mini-3 1 meter long cable. I'm sure if I went to the Mini-5 or Mini-7 my aux sound quality would be even more improved but these retail for $125 and $300 for 1 meter cables. To me I reached my limit on how much I would spend on a cable. For a good while I just used a cheapo cable and still was relatively happy. |
