Thats no good. At least your mum wasn't hurt.

That does suck. Does stuff like this happen a lot down there?

Yeah, that's the same I've been telling myself all day. It really really sucks that the beast that taught me how to drive got stilen, but It would've sucked much, much more to be at the hospital right now looking at my shot mom.

Normally, I'd hit myself on the nationalist part of my chest and say that no, it's not as common as other parts of Central America, but we really seem to be catching up with the rest of the region.. the current government just seems to have left the country to fend for itself... over the past 8 or so months crime has gone through the roof.
My girlfriend's dad (who was a freelance press photographer and drove a cab for extra cash every now and then) was shot earlier this year by a group of underage bastards (laws are waaaaay softer on minors here, even for murder the most they get is like.. 6 months or something, so gangs make underage guys to do the dirty jobs) who were riding in his cab, last week they set them free. AFTER they confessed their crime.
You know why? because the media made their names and faces public, and its a violation of human rights. meh

As much as I hate to admit it, the streets were peaceful back in the early 80's when we were under military rule.

Sorry to hear about that. She's going to need some Tender Loving Care for a few days until she processes the trauma of the incident.

Sorry to hear what happened to your momma, glad she's ok tho!

I'm sitting at home, with a migrane (again), trying on a few of the gifts the hubby bought me ;)

lasagna and ziti have the same properties.. pasta, mozarella, sauce and ricotta.. the only thing diff is that lasagna is layered and uses flat pasta, ziti uses pene paste(the tubes).
