Guys, it's a bit last minute, I know, but there's a lot of people asking about the plain JDM RS front and back bumpers, I just got a confirmation of the accessory pieces (fog lights and so on), here's what we can offer, in grade A, unpainted:
Front RS Bumper (including OEM grille from Japan): $450 You can use the normal bumper's fog lights, there is no need for a special set. You should also get a front Netz badge to complete the look The USDM front rebar *may* actually fit with this bumper, we'd really need somebody to be a guinea pig and find out for sure Rear RS Bumper (including OEM fog lights from Japan): $600 You can use the license plate lights that you already have. Rear rebar will have to be removed, there is no option for a smaller one. If you have a stock exhaust, it may not line up with that notch! Japanese aftermarket ones like Tanabe, Blitz, will be fine. It is pretty pricey, but those OEM pieces need to be used, and they account for about half the price!!!

Something I've been meaning to ask:
I've noticed that the OEM front bumper is made of something more flexible than the rest of the body. Are the aftermarket ones made like that as well?

Well the main difference is that the OEM ones are made of ABS/polyurethane or similar plastic, which is quite flexible and hard to break.
These replica ones are made from FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic), which is stiffer, but also quite light. The problem is, in the event of a collision, it can break/snap more easily. It's not such a huge deal, though, it's not very hard for a decent workshop to repair fiberglass, but you'll probably need to repaint the piece.

All right guys, ordering for this group buy is now OVER.
Those who are still needing to pay, please do so in the next 12 hours, or I won't be able to order your stuff from the different suppliers. Thanks

At this point is there any testers for those RS bumpers for USDM Yaris? If so, when can you expect to know the results if it fits or not? Thanks! |
