Good luck with your drive train parts in your stock Yaris transmission. Toyota recommends no more than 150 whp before your transmission will begin to have problems.

where did you see this recommendation.
I know the tc trannies have held 400 hp with no problems.... ii doubt toyota recommends that.

Ahhhh, so much fun! Super fast spool, feels like full boost around 3200 rpm... very quick even with the dubs on!

Raced a 91 3000gt vr4 thats lightly modded, the yaris pulled it on the highway, but just cant keep up with that AWD launch, its even after that. I'd say I'd pull on em with lighter wheels.
a couple pics, I'll have vids and what not shortly

wash before the install at a manual wash in l-ville... ripoff btw, knocks off 15 seconds before you even start.

on the lift

apart

weld weld

intercooler and BOV

kenny

lol

installed - engine bay

installed - intercooler

installed - exaust from the front

installed - exaust from the rear

Congrats on the quick install, vid looks like fun!

Be sure to update us on your day to day impressions after you've had some more time with the car. Did they happen to dyno the car?

Sorry, might just be the video.

Altitude maybe? Auto VS Manual?

Looks good!! Does this mean the kit is ready to go? I'm just waiting to see if the kit includes the clutch for $3400 or if that is extra.

See the turbo 'busa vid where the guy is takin it to 160, if you look at the horizon, it looks like he's just cruisin along. Thats what happens when you have a slow frame rate cam - the speedometer tells a better story. I'll get a 0-60 vid today if i can. Believe me its WAY faster than it ever was. I got it from 60 to 117 (on my speedometer, not sure actual speed) in the time it used to take me to get from 60 to approx 100 with my intake and stock wheels on. Its not remotely comparable.. even with the dubs on! Just to put it into perspective... I couldnt get it past ~105 with the dubs on, at least not after a few miles of WOT. There wasnt enough smooth highway in IL for me to get past that lol.

The speedometer is either way low in the yaris, or its way high in the 3000gt, I'd say a combo of both. When cruisin along, my 40 was his 45

no dyno, but my butt dyno says there is approx omg.7 hp @ the wheels.

Crappy oil that was put in for breakin comes out today or tomorrow and K&N filter + mobil 1 goes in.

On that note, its taking some time to relearn how to drive so I'm not goin full boost @ every stop light. Chicago folks have a tendancy to drive kinda fast all the time, and keeping up used to mean revving to 3500+ from a stoplight... 3500 or so now means healthy boost and a nice BOV when i let off the gas to slow back down (not that i'm complaing about hearing that wonderful sound)... Definitely gonna take some getting used to.

Probably b/c of your big wheels... since they have a larger overall diameter, they're turning slower to maintain the same speed, so your speedometer will register a lower speed than actual.

Which also means the car is shifting at a much higher speed, i could def feel the difference when I first put em on. It was/is kewl though, just takes a little more gas to get goin, I generally dont drive "hard" anyway.
