two points. If it is in the engine bay will it be visable? If not why not get one colour (grey to speed up production). Since more will the price come down?

its designed just like the trd one, their pulleys havent let anybody down yet, i wouldnt see a problem with this piece either.

i would think that faster shifting would mean less wear... considering that u dont have to spin the flywheel as long and clutch play and what not.. dont know THAT much about manny trans

i believe a bigger factor is how heavy footed are you. not really the shifting part but how you step on the clutch. someone correct me if im wrong.

Faster shifting means less residual RPM loss between gears. You could make a far fetched argument that that could even help fuel economy, but I won't go there. It will definitely help your track times. This is an autocross must have.
With a shorter throw, some people may start to think it is a race car and try to shift in 0.2 seconds. Then you take the wrong angle into a gear and snap your linkage. Don't be that guy. Trust that if anyone does bust their linkage it has nothing to do with the part and everything to do with the driver. First thing I did when I got the car was chop the stick down. I remember the length of the throws stock and it was laughable. IMHO if you drive a manual Yaris, you have to have either this or the TWM. This one is cheaper and doesn't require a new shift boot because the length of the stick doesn't change, but the TWM is a nice option too. TWM isn't going to take our support and turn around to make new products though. Show your support for a company that is supporting us. Who knows what Mike may cook up next? PS: If anyone has the TWM shifter and would like to sell me their stock stick, PM me. Last edited by ChinoCharles; 06-11-2007 at 04:09 PM. |

As soon as I put the lightweight crank pulley on I could sense that the engine has a little more power I could be getting if I could just into gear quicker... then bang! a new SSK! how did NST read my mind like that!
