Hey Violin, did you use the parking lights as DRL or that's when you flip the switch knob once? Thanks.

Just flipped on to the parking light position. I wonder if you guys could get away with them as DRL's - they are pretty bright. If you wired them up so they came on with the ignition switch, you could remove the DRL module.

They also look better than the PIAAs. The Piaas have two side-by-side LEDs:

These don't look like two points but are more diffuse.

DRL is part of your H4 high/low, has nothing to do with this parking light, nor is it a seperate light all its own.

Original post shows the product packaging, and the avaliable colors listed.

I just got two 194s from HiLEDs for my parking lights. Do we really have to remove the front bumper to install these?

How do you install them then?

I have the Yaris Service Manual that someone posted up some time ago and the instructions in it for getting to the parking lights say to remove the front bumper.

Open your hood, twist and pull, then pull the old wedge out and pop the new one in, you may have to turn the new one if it does not light up (polarity), if you go out to your car and pop the hood and take a look I think it will become rather obvious, this is a 2 minute install

changing the actual h-4 bulbs is a pain for me and some prefer to remove the whole assembly for that but for these it is totally easy

That's the same manual I have. It says you have to take the front bumper off to get to the parking lights.

page LI-97 says:

REMOVAL
HINT:
• Use the same procedure for both the RH and LH sides.
• The procedure described below is for the LH side.
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
2. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER (See page ET-24)
3. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 3 screws.
(b) Disconnect the 3 connectors, then remove the headlight.

No you don't, not at all, you also don't have to disconnect the freaking battery. Do me a favor and go out to your car and change your damn bulbs. These are about as easy as it gets. Sometimes the manual gets a little carried away. I guess if you were a Toyota Tech and you did all that you could charge someone an hour for a 2 minute bulb change.

I have changed every bulb in my car. You don't have to remove the bumper for any of the bulbs.

Can you please explain how I remove the stock parking lights so I can install these HiLED LEDs?

Thank you.
