I have a nuvi 350 that I loaded topo maps on for Jeeping, I have been amazed at some of the trails that actually show up on it! I like the TTS function, so I get a "turn left on Alamo Street" instead of "turn left ahead," and I can recall only one instance where it routed me down a deadend road (to be fair, it appears it did continue through previously, as the road is on the other side of a dry creek where at one time there may have been a bridge). I use it for hiking and whereas it is not as easy to hang on to as a handheld GPS, it works well.

I also got a Garmin iQue 3600 from a bud but I can only get topo or baseline maps to work on it. Anyone know where I can detailed local maps to load onto it? Free works best for me!

Cheers! M2
