We got our check for about $9 also. Will use that money towards the gas needed to drive the 73 miles roundtrip to the "recall" for the potentially faulty driver's seat. Sigh. That should leave us with about $3 for a taco or two. Sweet!

Yeah, I drove my Ford Ranger on the same route longer than my yaris and never lost that much paint on the ranger. I should've got a bra for the yaris cause it has a bunch of white spots on the front now. Ever wax the insides of the door jams? The paint comes off on the rag...

All that aside, I don't ever plan to trade in this car. I plan to run it until it can't be anymore.

I was going to ask if the $65 figure was because they forgot about Crashy, or because you sold your red one. Then it occurred to me that Crashy probably doesn't 'count' in their database, as they are probably using registration data. Last summer I was discussing the recalls with a person at the dealer. I am not sure what was for what. I have owned a total of 5, but three of the five have never been registered to me. I also owned the 92 Celica and 11 Tacoma.

I forgot (not just you, but re all 'injured' parties) = not applicable to just the Yaris model.

I need to go through my backlog of mail; I remember seeing various recall announcements, but not a cheque. Though it sounds like it wasn't a cheque that I would remember.:p

Don't think we Canadians are getting any cheques out of this. No one in this thread reporting receiving money lives outside of the US.
