Filled up this morning for the first time at 352 miles. Put in 9.5 gallons and only spent $28. Got 36.2 mpg(US) on my first tank! That is with about 80% city and 20% highway, and about 50% of the time with the a/c on. I am very happy with the results so far and I havent even broken the engine in yet.

So, to those who've had their Yarii for quite awhile - at what odometer reading does your mileage seem to stop getting better and plateau? In other words, from the standpoint of gas mileage, when is the car fully broken in?

32.5-33.5 80%City in the break in period. I was expecting a little more MPG, but I expect it to get better with time. In any case, I'm still getting 50miles more per tank than what I usually got in my old car (the max I was able to squeeze it was 305 miles when Wilma destroyed the area down here and everybody drove slowly and carefully)

First full tank since new, filled up with 370 on the odometer: 90% HWY (AC on constantly and averaging 70 MPH) I got 39.6 MPG.

Τnx man!

Oh I am disappointed.

5.6 liters/100 km equals 42.00 miles per gallon...

A very good idea! Please record your fuel economy track record on this thread. Thanks!

This is for easy calculations. I repost it here for your convenience:

Im sure mines gonna be somewhat hurting bc when I do hiway driving, its alwasy on the 400 to TO from my place (200 km approx), and im ALWAYS going atleast a buck 40, often 150 km /h

so thats really gonna kill my efficency. The rest of my clicks are all in my small town (25,000).

I just spent the weekend up and down the QEW,401,400,11 and back driving like an ass between 130-160 90% of the time and I still got 7L /100km.
The only thing i've done to the car is run Amsoil.

Ιf you are using the 5th gear at about 4000rpm, it's natural to have 7lt/100km.
