Give CTSCOTT a break! So all the people posting negative things on this thread have NEVER took time to do a project? Everyone at some time has had a project that they just don't have time to get to. I need to paint my house, but I haven't had time for a year or so. My neighbor has had a leaking rain gutter for 3 years! Instead of hounding CTSCOTT to quit his life & crank out gauges why not go make your own? If you don't know how to make one then wait & quit bitching about it.

If ctscott stopped answering all the other questions he gets he would have more time for this. Is that what we want? I didn't think so.

I don't care anymore. Obama promised to end the wars. CTScott promised a cool gauge I could put in the dashboard. Nobody cares anymore.

Ahhh, there's my excuse - I'll start shipping them when Obama stops the wars.

Maybe if I wasn't making Yaris house calls across the country I could get some work done.

Don't forget disassembling transmissions, then packaging and shipping them to the other side of the planet!

I can only imagine what your PM box looks like!

You don't like the Obamameme? I spent thirty minutes on it.

So, last week I was at a training conference in Phoenix for the MicroChip PIC microcontrollers (which I use in everything that I build) and their automotive group was showing this custom cluster that they made for the Chevy Silverado. It connects to the CAN bus and completely emulates the OEM cluster, plus has some diagnostic capability.

Wouldn't it be awesome to replace the entire cluster, rather than just having a small display?

I would go for the smaller display, it adds more detail while keeping the oem looks.

you could make, sell, and support a small display now

make some coin, and then partnerships, and work toward bigger items

I am still just planning on doing the small display. It was just one of those things that got me thinking. The cost to do the custom plastic would be crazy.
