I bought mine 3 weeks ago, 07 sedan auto with 226K on it. Engine still sounds good and drives well.
I'll probably put 50K on it a year. Bought it for 6K CAD and if I get 3 years out of it i'm a happy camper Note: ABS and "!" light is on... |

A little over 95K on my 2007. One more oil change and she will be there.

Just rolled over to 80k my self.
No repairs, but she needs some breaks. I love this car

Synthetic is nice, but expensive, so it's up to you. I just don't think it's necessary on a car like the Yaris. Typically though, you can certainly go longer between changes with the synthetic so it may balance out in costs somewhat. There's not much hard evidence as far as engine longevity. |

Oh, I'm not complaining. The water pump took an hour to replace as did the alternator. Alt was only $45. Water pump was around $100 I think. I hope to get another 150000. The kids have nicknamed her Zippy.

Im at 110k with 10k mile oil changes using M1. I swap the OE or NAPA gold oil filters out at 5k mile intervals. Front brakes are at 50%. Just bought some 100k mile Hankook Optimos tires. Ready for the next 100k. Serpentine belt was replaced at 90k.

07 Yaris with 137,500 miles. I changed oil every 5-6K miles. Manual transmission fluid replaced once at 85K. Coolant Change at 91K. Alternator crapped out at 125K (OR SOONER!) Had to change alternator and belt at the same time. Brake Pads prematurely replaced at 75K because I heard squeaky noise. LOL
FX HID projector installed at 5K and I still loved it!! Average mileage is 36-40 and I am constantly going over 70MPH on the highway. Now my front bumper looked like my old buick...but this car has been the lowest cost of ownership/mileage driven EVER! |

For a 4 cyl toyota (or a honda) I think the 300K mile club might be more appropriate. 100K is just breaking one of these things in.

280,000 km (174,000 miles) last Sunday. Just sheered the original alt belt off last week after replacing the water pump. Front brakes twice, oil changes, front wheel bearings, patched the exhaust and replaced the bull ring up front. Old girls been pretty good to me.

Im 4 weeks away from 200,000. I have 3 issues with mine which I have not repaired, I have a P0420 converter I think is inefficient, have the occasional ABS BRAKE light during winter, and occasionally when very damp ill get the voltage regulator acting up and it generates a battery light. None of these seemed very pressing to fix, but I have the money too, I think I will get the check engine like off first if I do any of the three.

If you change the oil per the owners manual (regular oil) the engine will last twice as long as the rest of the car. Also, in case you think snythetic oil will give better fuel consumption, that aint so either. I drove 5200 miles to Alaska this past summer on regular oil. Drove 5200 mile back on synthetc oil. No difference in mpg. Synthetic Oil. Its all in your head. |

What kind of fuel consumption are you getting with that diesel?
Thanks!
